IT should be the HR department’s greatest ally as organizations globalize. However, it doesn’t always happen that way, says HRToolbox’s Thomas Shelton. The two departments often have conflicting goals and speak different languages. HR, he suggests, can get more of what it wants by improving its knowledge of how IT operates.
