Information Builders has announced partnerships with MegaMation, Accertify, iovation, Creative Data Solutions, 41st Parameter and ScottTech. IB says that the companies is building platforms
using its WebFOCUS and iWay Software. MegaMation uses SaaS to provide facility maintenance management services. Accertify offers a SaaS to fight credit card fraud. Iovation provides device reputation services. 41st Parameter is a fraud intervention service. Creative Data Solutions provides management services to government entities and Scott Tech builds a warehouse control system.

Vovici has introduced Feedback Intelligence, which the firm says combines business intelligence and feedback data.
The platform, which works with the Vovici EFM Community, is designed to provide everyday business managers with the ability to quickly access data mining, data analysis and reporting information. The goal is to enable far faster and insightful decisions.
Aberdeen: BI Works for SMBs

Last month, the Aberdeen Group released a report that said that 58 percent of SMBs were able to eliminate or drastically reduce the time it took to amass
usable information through the use of business intelligence tools. The companies in the survey–which have annual revenues less than $500 million–are increasingly interested in improving decisions by better management of data and deployment of the proper BI tools.
DFS Taps MicroStrategy

worldwide luxury caterer, will use MicroStategy software to provide sales information by product, category and geography. The vendor also will be called on to analyze and report on store front activities and other tasks.

Until a couple of years ago, SaaS was driven by the IT departments. Now, Dubois says, the business side is more aware of the potential of these emerging platforms and is pushing for their use.
