Today, organizations are being asked to provide results well beyond Segregation of Duties (SOD) dictated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) with fewer resources and with higher levels of compliance reporting requirements. While first-generation GRC solutions responded to SOX, they didn’t increase the automation of processes that would result in tangible operational improvements, nor did they do anything to manage the high ongoing maintenance costs.
