Sybase plans to release in the summer an analytic appliance
that combines the company’s IQ database with IBM’s System P hardware and Microstrategy business intelligence software.
Like other similar products in the market, the Sybase Analytic Appliance provides a way for companies to avoid expensive upgrades by reducing the workload of data warehouses, data marts and reporting systems. The product comes with a console for appliance management and monitoring and pre-configured hardware, software and storage.
